Thank you all for your help, just some sympathies alone is great, not getting much of that on Continental's end. I have never had problems with award ticketing before so I am now realizing that the passenger has to be responsible for checking on status.

Here is the problem though, I have paid for my parents tickets for Asiana so I can't be flexible with theirs and I really need to fly with them. Well not NEED but my parents are already panicking that I may not be on the same flight. As mentioned, my parents haven't flown long haul in 30+ years and are elderly.

One agent did offer to book on UA though it sounds like he wouldn't have the authority too, but the thing is and no offense to UA but I would not fly on UA in economy to ICN, only reason why I am flying on UA on the return leg is it is booked if F class.

I had no idea that if I had a confirmed eticket that Continental could basically just tell me tough luck. Do I not have any rights here? This flight is not cancelled, it just appears to be a booking issue. Of course now those award seats are no longer available on Continental as it is getting close to departure date.

An easier way around would be to consider other options. If you are dates are at all flexibile (even +/- 1 day) that could help. Other routing options exist. OZ flies from LAX too. Then there may be routing options available on TG, SQ, CA etc. If you would like some help, OP is welcome to pm me and I'll be happy to look for availability for free.

Good luck!
Thank you so much for your offer, I will keep that in mind, you are so kind!^
