Terms specify must purchase a ticket so they're not supposed to. Maybe if you had some huge fuel surcharge it would award systemically. YMMV

Not to go off topic but that's one nice feature of the Cap One Venture. You don't have to scrape for points. It's just 2 pts on everything.
