Not really.

As has been demonstrated by the successful no-frills business model, the airline industry IS a transportation business. EZY/RYR don't even carry cargo.

Anything over and above "sit down, belt-in, shut-up" is a service differentiator that is used to justify the higher price points, demonstrate a competitive advantage, or an provide an additional revenue-stream (e.g. duty-free).
