Bad luck - you sound more upset with yourself than BA?

BA have to apply a clear threshold and if they had another "unwritten" rule then that would simply move the level down 30 points and hack off a whole lot of other people ie people that missed by 30 points last week, people that miss by 40 points etc.

It's a great suggestion to remind people that they need another 30 points - it's produce some business for BA and improve CS. Doubt this would have helped the OP because he thought his calc was correct and he had the online balance.

Bite the bullet and recognise BA has done nothing wrong and that it's simply a lesson for the future!
