It's far too short. In addition to clearing inbound immigration and customs, you will also need to clear outbound security checkpoint for which I generally allow a minimum 30 minutes at IAD. BA should not have sold you this ticket at below MCT and there is a real risk in spending a very long time waiting for the next flight with availability.
