Reasonable observation there, but my opinion is that any seat is pretty much the same on Airbus aircrafts. Your observation about the row 64 might be true, but I can't say for sure because I haven't check them out myself.

Bulkhead seat might be a good choice if you do not like the seat infront of you to be reclined. Or, since you are based in SYD, simply take the flight served by 744.
