1. It is 30K Asia Miles on KA/CX (and perhaps other OW Airlines) within 12 months, not just simply 30K.
2. It is unofficial. So if CX does not give you SL, there is really nothing that can be done.
3. it is not quite automatic. GR->SL takes effect almost immediately when Club Miles were credited, but AM->SL will likely take longer.
