amimac - I am also in Seattle and just got approval for the status match from MVP Gold to UA Premier Executive. It took less than 2 days. I also applied for the Continental status match, but it still hasn't come through after more than 2 weeks. Will fly the required 17,500 miles within 90 days.
If you link your UA and CO accounts, the Elite Status is supposed to be match within 7-10 business days. I did this about 10 days ago but my OP account still states "non-elite." I am not sure if this is just a delay or if the system doesn't recognize the matched status.
That said, if you are traveling on CO, it seems to be best for upgrades to get Continental Gold status, whether by a direct match from Alaska or by an indirect match from United.
