I'm not sure that I an accept that there are lots of L class flyers who take advantage of SBY possibilities. Although those of us on here may take advantage of SBYs I'm sure that most occasional travellers aren't even aware of the possibility that they might standby. All the information on the ticket and receipts will say no changes and most people will abide by that. Even when there were any fare SBYs, I'm sure that most were not used systematically be L or Q pax.
