Off topic, but it seems that 292/293 have a lot of issues. Compared to other long-haul international flights (and this is the big momma of them, being the longest flight on AA), the food sucks, the FAs are not professional, the plane is old.

Does this route make money? Or does AA feel they don't really have competition on this route (AI is not a threat)?
