Well, I've spoken with the hotel:
They won't honor the rate. The reservation agent offered a "free golf cart" during our stay. That's a whopping $40 per day benefit we were not planning to rent anyways.
Then, his computer crashed and I'm waiting for him to call me back. I dug up the original screen grab. I save all of those now thanks to FT.
Unfortunately, it was the booking confirmation that showed the misquoted TOTAL rate but not the nightly breakdown. I should have screen grabbed the actual room rate page, but I didn't think this was a "mistake" rate in the first place.
I'm waiting for the call back. We WANT to stay here. It's a great resort. However, they need to meet me somewhere near the middle.
If they don't and this whole thing falls apart, I'll post the location to this thread.
Mistakes happen, but they should be remedied in a customer service-focused manner.
