Are you telling me you always obey the speed limit, never jaywalk, etc etc? I find that hard to believe...
I am a generation ahead of you and I run red lights at 2 am if there is no traffic. I disobey the posted speed limit regularly. I spill gasoline on the ground. I let my gas pump unattended. I also break probably hundreds of other laws that i nothing about.
Our problem is that we live in an over regulated country with a huge number of laws that are idiotic and should not be obeyed. When our government ceases to be judicious in making a law it encourages people to flout the law. The best is example is 55 mph on interstates highways designed for 80 mph.
We know the "cell phone may crash the plane" is a bogus reason because were it true cellphones would not be allowed on a plane as a carry on or checked. Drunken passengers are a bigger threat but alcohol is still served. Wonder why?
