Agreed. For the poor souls on that flight that was a massive tech failure. I'd guess they got back to ORD at around 2AM - hotel (if not blamed on weather) at sunrise. Great day with AA.
According to
www.aacargo.com the flight took off at 5:19 pm and was back at the gate at ORD at 9:59 pm, but the site says that info may not be accurate. Flightaware says that 292 flew 2411 statute miles, which would be doable in 4:40.
