After asking a few times over the last week I was told today that now the policy has changed yet again. According to this source, after travel has commenced travel can be changed with less than 72 hours notice for a $150 fee ...this fee is for all SkyMiles members and is not waived for Diamonds or Platinums. Before travel commences allegedly the miles can not be redeposited and flights can not be changed with less than 72 hours notice.

Here is where and when Delta should update the situation officially. Why is it always learned about by word-of-mouth ...

Again, this was a bad policy, badly communicated and badly thought out through all points of the process.
