Are you trying to speak to Alaska Mileage Plan redemptions specifically? AS' one-way award ticketing is Alaska/Horizon only. For all redemptions involving partner carriers, itineraries must be round-trip.
AS redemptions on Delta are always on Delta's Low award band, just as all Delta redemptions on Alaska must be Super Saver.
Finally, while I understand nobody wants to pay fuel surcharges, BA is the largest single TATL carrier from the West with departures from YVR/YYC/SEA/SFO/LAX/SAN/PHX (all of which are served by AS). Dismissing BA routings and complaining about award availability is insufferable.
