Living in the valley I haven't stayed in the local Scottsdale resorts except for the boulders and Arizona grande. I've never done a staycation at the others mentioned.
We do prefer Sedona by far its a bit cooler and views/scenery much more impressive with the Red Rocks. If you want to hike or bike, jeep/hummer tour lots to do outdoors
L'Auberge is our only place to go when we do
Very nice Cottages on the creek they have renovated recently added a ton more garden cottages they all are updated, modern, cozy, outdoor shower recently added, big patios. I would make sure you're on the creek to hear the water running is very tranquil
The Sunday brunch is excellent!! We have made the trip just for the day to enjoy the food, chef prepared creations, champagne.
The concierge's are very helpful. Shuttles can drive/pick you up into up town.
Willing to do anything to make your trip perfect
The spa is good from what the wife says mainly done massages
The wedding are also very impressive and is the creek house if your bringing a lot of people
