Similar here. I know I got the last room because the person behind me didn't get one (could feel those daggers on the back of my neck). At many of the hotels I stayed at in Europe (non-Hilton brand) they used some kind of flex pricing, where each room sold made every other room left more expensive. Made a certain amount of sense, but often I think American hotels do it the exact opposite, they feel like they have to squeeze in that last room.

Has anyone else noticed that when you get the last room it is almost without exception the accessible suite? I could understand why they save them without specific requests otherwise, but I've also been upgraded to these as they are often the largest rooms (at the Hampton Inn where I do most of my traveling with anyway).
