I wanted to stay in a Hampton Inn and the on line rates were high, so I didn't book it. After a long drive, I decided I really did want to stay there and I walked in, thinking I could get the AAA rate. They didn't have one but said I could have a senior rate that was cheaper than the cheapest on line rate. And the hotel was filled. They turned down the next person who walked in. Who knows???
