Sacking by Cathay was just: tribunal

CX had valid reason to dismiss a flight attendant who failed to inform the pilot about baggage on board that belonged to five missing passengers, the Labour Tribunal ruled yesterday.

Presiding officer Wong King-wa ruled that a plane flying with unaccompanied baggage was `unusal' and former cabin manager Aurora Saraza, 45, should have had the common sense to report the matter to the captain.
