Silver elites are entitled to priority check in (not Sky Priority). Some airports, like DTW and LAX, have silver-specific check-in/baggage drop counters, some, like SEA and HKG, don't.

When I was in SEA, a uniformed staff manning the general line told me there's no silver counters and I'll have to join the crowd. But when I spoke with the agent manning the Sky Priority line 5 steps away, she let me in.

And same thing happened in HKG.

Do you guys have any similar experience or solution?
