To avoid the risk of tunnel traffic, take the PATH train from Newark Penn Station to World Trade Center station (a 22-minute ride). From EWR to Newark Penn Station, options are: taxi; AirTrain/NJ Transit; or #62 bus. Taxi would likely be the fastest way to Newark Penn station (a 10-15 minute ride from EWR terminals).
