Why should they send you a new card every year as your status doesn't change (if Blue)? If you do are Silver or Gold, you'll automatically receive a new card with expiry date complying with the validity of your status. If your status changes again (up or down) you'll receive another new card because you can only use the perks coming with your status on the card if you still have that status.
