Generally I fly with BA every few months, and at very least once a year, so as far as I know my miles do not 'expire' at the end of the membership year, only that my tier points get reset.

However, I am approacing the 'card expiry date'. Does this actually have any significance or is it literally only the date at which I need to get a new card? In which case, do I need to order a new one through the website or does it come through automatically?
