For me, taking the public transport (provided it's convenient) and experiencing the local way of living and culture plays a big part towards a great holiday. I would hate to only be in the taxi, but perhaps because I'm young and enjoy meeting and talking to other people.

Taxis are cheap in HK so there's no need to bring up the issue of having enough money to afford a taxi in my opinion. Although not as customer oriented as the GH and other luxury hotels, it's still a solid one with excellent views and modern rooms + suites and great lounge hosts. Is it really that hard to press the button for the blinds and open the bedding yourself?
