Am a UA 1P and have booked on a CO flight coming up. Last time I flew, I was automatically put on the upgrade list (and cleared with a seat next to Jeff Smisek*). But now I'm reading stuff from UA saying I should match my status on CO in order to get upgrades. That would mean getting a CO FF# and then matching status. Do I need to do all that?

*Wife was traveling with me on same flight, sep itinerary, so I had to decline and... I didn't realize I was going to be next to Jeff until after we boarded and I saw him hanging in the cockpit.
