You can buy AE ticket at the ticket vending machine with a credit card.

For a day trip changing $200 at the airport is a good idea to save time looking around for a changer later.

Base on your route for dim sum Maxim's at CityHall just by the Star ferry on the HK side is probably a good bet iff you are there before 11 am.
