Just got back from a Labor Day weekend stay at the Cosmo. Received a nice phone call from the Cosmo's Platinum Concierge (Zara) a week before my arrival to confirm my stay and inform me of my Platinum benefits. The two Concierges (Zara & Colin) that I interacted with prior to the stay were both excellent!

Arrived and used the "Invited Guests" check-in line as instructed by the Concierge. Wait time was about 10 minutes to check-in. The check-in clerk informed me that Marriott Platinum guests are afforded a one-level room upgrade at check-in. I had booked a standard Terrace One-Bedroom room and was upgraded to a premium view (fountain view) Terrace One-Bedroom room on the 57th floor of the east tower. The check-in clerk even remembered to ask about my platinum arrival gift!

Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed our room and the property. We are in our 30s and found the clientele to mainly be in their early 20s due to the club. For only being open for less than a year, we found the property and furnishings to be a little roughed up for such a short time of operation. I guess that’s what you get when you attract the 20-something clubbing crowd. The club noise could be heard, albeit faintly, in our room on the 57th floor. At check-out, I used both a Marriott bonus bucks certificate and a Marriott gift card for the balance with no issues.

Notes/Tips:
- Platinums can use the "Invited Guests" check-in line. This is NOT the VIP check-in area in the separate room behind the frosted glass as you first enter the lobby. We found the proper area after finally spotting the small sign on the first desk in the main lobby area.
- Platinums receive a one level room upgrade at check-in. You might get more than a one level upgrade if they are less busy. However, we were there over Labor Day weekend and what we were told was close to 100% occupancy at that time.
- Platinums receive two free breakfast buffets at the Wicked Spoon. You are asked to charge the buffets to your room and they will subsequently be removed from your folio by check-out time. Ours were not removed automatically but the check-out clerk was able to kindly do this for us without us even asking or reminding him.
- Platinums can use the "Invited Guests" line at the far right to enter the Wicked Spoon and avoid the crowds in the general line.
- Platinums can use the "Invited Guests" line for check-out.
