It would seem reasonable to expect an upmarket concierge to be able to communicate in a manner that is inoffensive and using acceptable language for their target market (easy enough to discover your market as this service uses client profiles). Whilst referring to a bar as homosexual (and nodding in agreement to the poster commenting on a building having a sexual preference ) may be a normal and non-judgemental description in some parts of the world-but it is not in London or the UK generally-which is where this communication took place. IMO a service failure by AMEX and one that should be gently corrected.
