I booked a last minute trip to DPS and will be traveling from SIN-DPS on Air Asia.

I arrive into SIN on SQ.

In printing my Air Asia advanced boarding pass it indicates that a document check needs to occur at the baggage counter.

Since I have no checked bags can I do the document check at the gate? I really don't want to go clear immigration to head to the check-in counter to show my passport to just turnaround and clear immigration again.
