But again we are talking about airlines trying to make as much revenue as they can. If I want to fly with my cats I have to pay a $150 fee even though they will be in a carrier underneath the seat PLUS they count as one carry on.
The bassinet doesn't take up any seats. However it hangs in front of two seats so if a parent were traveling with the infant alone the unrelated person sitting next to him/her might have the infant right in front of him. That is the risk of choosing a bulkhead seat.
