I just received an email from my son who was denied passage on a NH flight from HND to LAX. I booked the flight for him using my miles in my One Pass account and it shows that is has been ticketed and confirmed according to the Continental Manage reservations page. All Nippon does not care about the Continental Airline confirmation number. I am presently travelling in Ho Chi Minh City and do not have a way to phone Continental in the US. I have sent them an email regarding this incident but was wondering if there is any way to verify the cause of this mishap.

Any suggestions? I don't know how I can call the US collect from Vietnam...
I don't speak the language and simple tasks are like pulling teeth in this corner of the world.

Can I expect Continental to expediently remedy the situation and book him on the same flight the following day? Should I demand that they compensate his extra out of pocket expenses such as train transportation etc.
