It's one thing to have an F cabin on the aircraft. Quite another to prepare and deliver F service. CX's policy is that if the flight is planned to have F it's a full F service. Even on a short flight, F is F and you'll receive the whole nine yards, including hot towels, F meal service, etc. My experience with this is on the HKG/BKK route. When the flight is planned F, you get the full service on this two hour flight. When it's a planned 2 cabin flight and a 3 cabin a/c is substituted in (a not infrequent occurrence as many know), it's J service whether you sit in F or J.
Well I really don't need hot towels and F meal service, I just like to look out of the window when flying...so I really hate the Herringbone seats on the 77A and 74A. If it were the 77D I would be more than happy to just stay in J.
