I've used shutterfly and was extremely pleased. Printing is beautiful, binding is solid, and they package it really well to protect it in transit.

I do my own custom layouts, and they have templates that account for bleed edges and they allow you to turn off the 'colour pop' options that the average user enjoys. So they understand printing. Also, if you're not interested in complicating matters, i've noticed they seem to have a truckload of preset page layouts that anyone could use.

Plus, once you've bought something with them, they seem to send a LOT of decent specials via email.
