I agree rows 1 and 2 have more privacy. But as I recall from my last trip, the overhead bins are shallower on rows 1 and 2. So if you have one of those carryons with wheels and want access to them inflight you might want to choose row 3. Although even this is not really such a big deal because the F/A's will stow the carryons for you in the closet during takeoff and landing.
Another advantage to row 2, you're as far away as possible from a potential snorer.
