I don't know if this is what has to do with your case but in mid-March, a few agents in a couple of Asian cities told me that there may be an IATA fare increase on April 1. (They 'expect' one, they said.)
If an increase is airline-specific, they usually know by then (at least two weeks ahead) how much increase there would be but they usually don't know the degree of increase they would have to face if it's initiated by IATA, so they told me.
I've checked published fares last night and it didn't seem there was any increase. If there was, it was probably marginal. I didn't notice it.
