The difference in this Pass is that it allows you to visit quite a few cities in Asia.

With a RTW supose you go LAX or YVR to HKG on CX then you could go to BKK or MNL on CX then hook up to BA to LHR. All other side trips would be at your own cost.

I agree that the RTW is also a great fare,only this pass allows much more points in Asia, if your looking to see Asia.

It also doesn't care about backtracking. I tried to book a AC/SQ RTW and would have flown SQ to MAN then I wanted to fly LHR-YYZ on AC, because LHR is slightly east of MAN this was a no go!

On the otherhand if I just wanted to go to HKG or SIN on business then yes a RTW would be my choice.
