I'm a big fan of Amex's purchase protection as well. Extra warranty protection, extended return policy, and first 90 day coverage if an item is lost, stolen or damaged ($300 limit I think). Of course you can get all that with a PRG card too instead of the Platinum for $275 less.
You get all the benefits on many cards... including Sapphire and Continental Card, even Chase Freedom card has many of the benefits you mentioned.
