Milwaukee July numbers

Now that numbers are thinner, there's no press release by the Milwaukee county exec each month trumpeting (taking credit for?) the increased passenger volume. Traffic was down 3.1%

Market Share, July 2011
31.6% AirTran
30.2% Frontier
16.2% Delta
8.1% Southwest
6.1% United (incl Continental)
3.7% American
3.7% USAirways
0.3% Air Canada

Something mildly interesting is that the legacy carriers carried more passengers year-over-year, but there were exactly three airlines which carried fewer pax this year than last...Frontier, Southwest and AirTran.

Passenger change year-over-year
-12.1% Frontier
-10.1% Southwest
-0.1% AirTran
+0.4% Air Canada
+2.8% United (incl Continental)
+6.9% USAirways
+7.6% Delta
+17.6% American

(Note I combined United and Continental together because they are route swapping / code sharing. UA* has taken over some MKE-IAH flying and so separately United has the biggest growth and Continental the biggest decrease.)

Rather surprised to see Delta's relatively large growth. American's is no surprise because the upgraded Dallas to M80, but that is ending later this fall and going back to RJ.
