"A" class is never available on CX 888/889 YVR-JFK
I looking up first class fares on Cathay Pacific between Vancouver and JFK New York and found two fares.(fares are approximate)

A2R for about CAD 5500 (book in A)
and F for about CAD 7500 (book in F)

but when checking on ITN.net, "A" class is never available on any date.

Anyone here have the experience of being waitlisted in "A" class on the YVR-JFK sectors successfully?

Since there is also a D2R fare (book in D for business class) for about CAD 4500 and I had to fly in business class for the YVR-JFK segment, would CX refund the difference between the D2R and the A2R fare?
