My wife's not 100% sure it's her bra. She did have a wedding ring on, but not jeans/pants with metal. Somehow the TSA determined the issue was only surrounding her breasts, as that's the only area they patted down. At both airports the TSA agents said that it was probably the underwire in her bra, and that they see that happen a lot.
