I agree that the noise seems to bounce off the ceiling and reverberate around in the Wing pretty badly.

Perhaps during the refurbishment they will install some sort of noise baffles to combat the problem, and also point the gate speakers away from it.

Acoustic tiles would probably not fit in with the architectural vision of the HKG airport, however.
