There are a lot of side streets south of the hotel (opposite direction form Lepziger Strasse). The Wall used to cut right through that area where the hotel sits, and there are still a good number of vacant lots and buildings. It's an area that doesn't have much day traffic; and at night it is completely dead. If street parking is allowable, I don't think you will have to fight that hard to find a spot. If the MotelOne has opened up (which is about 50 meters away form the CY on Leipziger Strasse) they might have a parking garage that will charge less than the 19 Euros at the CY.
