So.... I just booked my flight from msy - atl -fll for a cruise with the family

I used award tickets for the wife and kid and purchased my own.

I called medallion desk to get the three of us sitting together, and was denied.

I was told they couldn't put them in seats held for medallions.

There are a ton of 3 rows avail up front, none in back.

I know i've had an agent do this at least two other times.

was i just lucky? is it unfair to ask for the seats, am I robbing you guys of them?

They say she's not on same Pnr, because of award ticket and I can't change that. Can't join me on upgrade list either.
