As for CX, if you had the foresight to fly get your green card and fly CX on your way into HKG, then you can probably snag a silver card with one well planned RTW flight.
If not, wait to join MPO until just before your next flight (maximize the time you have in which to qualify). If you go home to the States for a holiday, do it as a RTW flight (it shouldn't cost you much more, if any, in J). That should pretty much do it.
