Sorry if I was not clear.
CX and Asiamiles uses the SAME computer reservation system.
This I know. One can check -- by calling a CX reservation agent -- the status of his/her reservation made with AsiaMiles.
A CX TYO res. agent attempted to waitlist me on another flight but she apparently didn't know she cannot change it. She tried but could not do it and she asked me to call AsiaMiles in Hong Kong.
From Japan, it is OK because we do have a toll-free number for AsiaMiles.
But in the U.S., at least in the last few days when I called CX from YVR and DFW, the automated response did give me an AsiaMiles number in Hong Kong but it was stated clearly that the number is not toll free.
Maybe I should have spoken to an agent. But I would all the more appreciate it if anyone can post an AsiaMiles toll-free number from North America and Europe.
