AA and CX are oneworld partners so they should have no problems doing that. I flew on AA and connected on OZ(AA partner) and they trasferred my bags with NO problems at all. I have also done this with other arlines.. such as flying Delta - BUF-ATL-PDX-NRT.. and United NRT-SEL. THe bags were trasfeered.
