Argh, that just happened to us! We are flying on Friday and have aisle/window reserved. I looked at aa.com a few minutes ago and found THAT VERY SAME IDIOT in the middle seat between us, even though there are still aisle and window seats elsewhere.

There is an actual empty exit row of three seats. These are "preferred" seats, so they don't show up for non-elites. I'm surprised no elites have snagged them.

We can't take them, because MrQ is not eligible for exit row seating.
