Asia Miles allows members to top up their account with cash

Asia Miles has launched a new "Asia Miles Top Up" miles plus cash plan allowing members to top up their account by purchasing extra Asia Miles with cash. This new benefit allows members who are close to redeeming a free flight, upgrade, or companion ticket to achieve their goal right away.

Starting this month, Asia Miles members are able to purchase up to 30% of the Asia Miles they need for any award redemption. Asia Miles can be bought in blocks of 2,000 Asia Miles at USD$60 a block. For example, 20% of a Business class round trip Asia Miles award ticket from Hong Kong to London is 12,000 Asia Miles which would cost USD$360. Members can purchase Asia Miles as often as they want through a simple telephone call.

"Asia Miles has been designed to make earning free flights and other rewards as easy as possible," said Ron Mathison, General Manager, Cathay Pacific Loyalty Programmes. "With the launch of our new Asia Miles Top Up programme, redeeming awards in Asia Miles is now easier and more flexible than ever."

The Asia Miles Travel Reward Programme allows members to earn free flights faster and easier in all classes of travels to more than 800 destinations worldwide.

One of the main strengths of Asia Miles is the range and quality of its partners. Air partners include oneworld alliance members, Cathay Pacific, American Airlines, British Airways, Canadian Airlines, Finnair, Iberia, and Qantas, as well as Swissair and its partners, Japan Airlines, Dragonair, Ansett New Zealand. Other partners include a broad range of companies from the financial services, car hire, telecommunications, and travel industries.
