-My first thought is this is an end round against using SPG points. This is a defacto blackout. But then again it's at the cost of being able to make any paid reservations. Loss revenue!!
I am now looking to shift my business as I don't want to see other rooms book up as there's no reason to wait till Nov for a January reservation.
Technically, there aren't any rates publicly available, so one would not be able to book a room using paid rates and Starpoints for the property.
If the hotel is willing to offer a room rate based on this year's rates it might be a better proposition than to wait till there is an increment once the rates for 2012 are officially announced.
