The flights almost never go down. Your best option is look at EWR > YUL leaving Saturday morning and coming back Monday.

Personally I would stay away from both Amtrak and Greyhound. The train is always delayed and the bus doesn't have the best safety record.

Have you considered driving? Its around 6 hours door to door... Not to bad once you factor in airport / flying / transit times.
